SHOP AND STOP WALK
Start from Guggenheim Museum, walking around this marvel and then down to the Shipyard Museum which is an attachment of the Guggenheim. Continue towards the Plaza Sagrado to reach the Gran Via (Don Diego López Haroko Kale Nagusia). Crossing the main square Plaza de Don Frederico, the Gran Via continues till you reach the Plaza Circular. Take abreak after the shopping at recommended restaurants in the map. El Globo, Foodoo & Cafe Iruna (see food recommendations of Bilbao)
WALK BY THE RIVER AND UP TO THE MOUNT
Start from Plaza Circular (I have kept it as the starting/end point for all walks), walk along the street Buenos Aires towards the Town/City Hall crossing the bridge over the River Nervion. The Town Hall is a beautiful building, click some pictures and continue walking along the river on Street Campo de Volantin reaching the wonder of Calatrava, the Zubizuri Bridge which will be on your left side. Cross the bridge and back to move towards Plaza de Funecular where you can take the Funecular (the ropeway) to Mount Artxanda to get a beautiful 360 degree view of the city.
CULTURAL WALK MET WITH GASTRONOMY
This is a walk in Casco Viejo (the old town of Bilbao) starting from the Michelin Star Restaurant 'Mina'. Make sure you reserve a table here way in advance. Cross the River Nervion to reach the Church of San Anton followed by the Mercado de la Ribera which is the biggest supermarket of Europe. Explore this market, taste some local delicacies and walk North towards Santiago Cathedral where you must take a breath and take in the beauty of this building. Walking further North on Street Posta Kalea you will be greeted by the Plaza Nueva which is a gastronomic delight. My recommendation in the Plaza is Sorginzulo (see food recommendations of Bilbao)
